TERMS OF SERVICE

Effective Date: January 1, 2025

1. Service Description

SeveranceClarity is a document preparation and educational explainer service. We provide plain-English explanations of severance agreements submitted by customers. Our reports are educational materials only and are not a substitute for professional legal advice.

2. Not Legal Advice

SeveranceClarity is not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice, legal opinions, or legal representation of any kind. No attorney-client relationship is formed by using our service. Our reports explain what your document says in plain language — they do not constitute legal counsel. You should consult a licensed employment attorney in your state before making any legal decisions regarding your severance agreement.

3. Customer Acknowledgment

By purchasing and using our service, you acknowledge that: (a) SeveranceClarity is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice; (b) our reports are educational explainers only; (c) you are solely responsible for your own legal decisions; and (d) you have been advised to consult a licensed attorney before signing or rejecting any severance agreement.

4. Payment and Refunds

Payment is required prior to service delivery. All sales are final once your report has been delivered. If you experience a technical issue or do not receive your report within 48 hours of completing your intake form, contact us at hello@severanceclarity.com and we will make it right.

5. Accuracy and Limitations

We make reasonable efforts to provide accurate plain-English explanations of the document you submit. However, our service is not a substitute for professional legal review. The accuracy of our explanation depends on the quality and completeness of the document you provide. We are not responsible for errors arising from illegible, incomplete, or altered documents.

6. Document Confidentiality

Your submitted documents are used solely to prepare your explainer report. We do not sell, share, or disclose your documents to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for complete details.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SeveranceClarity shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of our service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the applicable report.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
